facing
seven million book buyers can be wrong so do not - or does it? Stieg Larsson's "Millennium" trilogy has certainly led the charts for ages, so there was a television film flight of all three books. Reduced, they came to the cinemas, the ZDF now shows the complete version in six parts.
Yes, there is a Swedish television filming. Nevertheless, the story would have been less spectacular stage can not well. Although the three books have their weaknesses - especially women super hero Mikael Blomkvist - they draw from two things: they are exciting, and they have Lisbeth Salander.
The young lady is actually the only reason to read the books. Salander is a Soziopathin, highly intelligent and does not give a shit about the straight in Sweden yes oh-so-important political correctness. In the film, at least visually credible it is embodied by Naomi Rapace which, however, is really too old for the role.
Much heavier weights, however, that razor-sharp mind, and Salander from their extreme determination, there is little left. I now tell something from the movie. Salander is deemed not legally competent and therefore it needs a guardian, however, suffers a stroke. His successor is a lawyer and a lousy Sadistenschwein. In a rather extended scene, he raped Salander - the book that you can just stand still, because we all know they will avenge terrible, simply because it has both the absolute will and the means to do so. In the film version, however we do not know that. Had I not known the story before, I do not know if I would have to watch.
Yes, that's a crap also. The only interesting are the effects of light and shadows that allude to the mysteries which are to explore. There is already a U.S. film in the works, Americans are apparently not able to sync movies. In the Daniel Craig will play the lead role. I fear the worst.
